Helping Hands

In the sensationalised world of free-to-air television, mostly contrived at best or outright garbage at worst, Helping Hands is an absolute breath of fresh air. Richard and the team at Australian TV & Media Group work hard to deliver a weekly show celebrating the people who make the world a better place.

Dads4Kids is honoured to be part of the Helping Hands program.

Watch a fascinating panel discussion from Episode 16 of Helping Hands, featuring Dads4Kids Founder Warwick Marsh here.

Our good friend, film and TV producer Richard Attieh, has produced this fantastic new half-hour TV program which airs weekly on Channel 9. Richard is a committed husband and father of five, and he and his team should be congratulated on producing such ‘an inspiring and uplifting TV show’, as YourTV describes it.

If you’re a regular reader of this newsletter, you’ll know the team at Dads4Kids are not big fans of the mainstream media. Having worked in media for over 20 years, you could say I’ve been well and truly red-pilled. Intrepid media veteran Tucker Carlson says it best: “The media lie, they do, but mostly they just ignore the stories that matter.”

However, if we’re going to turn the tide of fatherlessness, which is what we’re all about at Dads4Kids, we must engage with the mainstream and do our part to change the narrative. In other words, be in the world, but not of the world, as the greatest book ever written encourages us.

Helping Hands

For many years now, Dads4Kids has put significant effort and resources into creating annual TV Commercials that air all over Australia as Community Service Announcements. These positive messages have had untold impact over the years, and we’re currently working on our next TV campaign (stay tuned, as they say).

Speaking of making the world a better place, if you haven’t already done so, please make sure you book in for the Dads4Kids Men’s Leadership Summit coming up on the 4-6 August 2023. Bookings close in a few days, and we would love you to join us. All men are invited. Please don’t miss out!

Richard’s crew will be there too, filming a documentary on Dads4Kids — if you can join us for the weekend, make sure you say g’day, and shake a fellow helping hand.

Lovework

If you can, tune into Helping Hands on 9Gem at 10 am on Saturday mornings, or catch the repeat 5:30 am Sunday mornings on the 9 Network.

Dads4Kids wouldn’t normally advocate watching TV, but Richard and his team need all the support they can get. Who knows, hopefully you’ll be inspired to get out there with your family and keep making the world a better place too!

If you prefer YouTube, you can watch some excellent Helping Hands panel discussions here, here and here (yours truly is part of the Episode 28 Panel Discussion — hopefully I said something intelligent!)

Yours for Helping Hands,
Nathaniel Marsh
