Australia Played a Small Part in the Teutonic Shift Towards LIFE in the Supreme Court in the USA

Recently I had the privilege of visiting the USA and meeting with key USA Prayer leaders and giving a Prayer Breakthrough Seminar at the Amerasian Centre for Prayer and Revival in Washington DC.

It was a great joy to  meet with American intercessors, pray in the Supreme Court and take part in the USA National Prayer Assembly in Washington DC from 2-4 October 2018.   I was profoundly blest to work with John Robb who is the chairman of the International Prayer Council in the Breakthrough Prayer Seminar on Saturday 6 October and be small part of the miracle vote 50 – 48 on Saturday in the Senate and represent Australia in prayer for that vote.

Brett Kavanaugh, the new pro-life justice, had been attacked viciously with lies and slander for weeks on end. As highly respected Australian journalist Greg Sheridan wrote this week.  “The allegations against him have been completely uncorroborated.” Another writer compared the vendetta against Kavanaugh to the “Salem witch trials.”   Our prayers were desperately needed all week.

Interestingly repentance played a key part in our intercession for the victory vote in the senate for Life on Saturday during the Prayer Breakthrough Seminar.  John Robb on Thursday had shared the story with me of breakthrough in  Cambodia at a Prayer Breakthrough Forum that John was running with Shell Shoberg many years before.

Shell gave a one sentence message to the gathered pastors and leaders that “some of you have blood on your hands”. This brought loud cries, shouts and tears of repentance from the men gathered.

You see some of them before they were Christians had helped in the massacres inspired by Pol Pot on the so called Killing Fields of Cambodia where 2 – 3 million people murdered. They were too ashamed to say anything and they were afraid of retribution from families of those who they had killed. It was only when they were challenged by a man of God in a Christian meeting that the truth came out followed by heartfelt repentance with many tears.

This time of repentance brought an historic breakthrough to the Cambodian church which is still being felt to this day.

I asked John Robb to share that story at the Prayer Breakthrough Seminar and after he shared I turned to the men gathered for the Prayer Breakthrough Seminar and told them “we have blood on our hands.” Thankfully they agreed and so we could all pray and repent before God on this issue in unity.

Abortion is portrayed by media and church as a woman induced societal sin but I believe it is a man induced  societal sin and that as men we need to repent of our sinful involvement  in the act of abortion either by being passive and not speaking up against abortion or not protecting and honoring the women in our life in all purity and Godliness.

The culture of death really comes as a result of the culture of immorality. The culture of immorality is driven by the porn epidemic which we as men have aided and abetted. This demeans womanhood and thus demeans life and thus paves the way for abortion.  All the men present agreed and together we got down on our knees and cried out to the Lord for forgiveness and asked the same of the women present. This triggered a response from the women who repented of being involved in seducing men or being involved in abortion, again, either directly or indirectly.

There were much tears and a profound sense of breakthrough. I then felt the victory in the vote to be assured. This proved to be the case later on in the afternoon at 3:45PM when the vote was given 50 – 48 in favour of a new profile supreme Court judge Justice Brett Kavanaugh. It is interesting to note that the Supreme Court was about 100 metres from where we prayed and repented and the Senate was about 500 Metres from where we prayed and repented. Nothing like being close at hand!!!

Suffice to say the Prayer Breakthrough Seminar ended early with a sense of great joy and victory and subsequent Breakthrough with the appointment of a pro-life justice which has now swung the USA supreme court 5-4 in favor of life.  This historic proliferate appointment marks a tectonic shift and will affect  not only America and Australia but the whole world.

The period of time in Washington DC has left me more than ever in awe of God’s grace and power. It was as if God was playing a chess game in Washington DC and we all had the grace to play our part. The poem of William Shakespeare comes to mind, “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances.” When people pray God moves.

The fact that the Supreme Court now has a majority of justices who are pro-life marks the beginning of the end of Abortion. The events of this week were an answer to over a 100 billion prayers and trillions of tear drops over the last 45 years.

As a friend of mine said, “You could not have written the script better.” My wife and I have been passionate supporters of the prolife movement for over 30 years. To be able to represent the Australian prolife movement in prayer and be able to play a small part in the jigsaw of prayer and breakthrough on the issue of Life was joy unspeakable in more ways than one. Soli Deo Gloria!!!!!

Thank you again for your gracious help and prayers.

Much Love
